FEDOMU IS CONCERNED THE JUDGEMENT OF THE SUPREME COURT OF JUSTICE


The Dominican Federation of Municipalities (FEDOMU), described as unfortunate and disturbing the decision of the Supreme Court in declaring unconstitutional section 284 of the Law 176-07 of the National District and the municipalities, which establishes that they are capable of application rates and taxes on telecommunications companies for the use of land and airspace.

The FEDOMU and SEJ implement public policies for youth


With this agreement, the Secretariat Youth and the Dominican Federation of Municipalities seeking to implement public policies in favor of the youth sector.

The Secretary of State for Youth and the Dominican Federation of Municipalities on Tuesday signed an agreement to establish inter-agency cooperation mechanisms and carry out actions to implement youth policies at the local level.


The agreement was signed by both institutions in the person of its holders Franklin Rodriguez for the SEJ and Dr. Jose Reyes for the FEDOMU and contractors as it seeks to achieve goals that are both favorable for the institutions and youth Dominicana.El Republic FEDOMU president and trustee of the Roman doctor José Reyes welcomed the intention and initiative of Franklin Rodriguez, said he expected a faithful compliance with the agreement that will benefit the young and the Dominican people.

SEJ also like both FEDOMU pledged to promote and negotiate with the municipalities to create Municipal Youth Units and promote mechanisms and spaces for design, monitoring and evaluation of public policies in the sector that includes plans, programs, projects and activities.


Other benefits arising from the agreement is the potential resources available in a timely manner while strengthening the participatory municipal budget, sponsoring the participation of youth and among other things, identify new sources not budgeted. The SEJ FEDOMU and will follow up to local councils to co-design, agree and define the Municipal Plan of Action for Youth, considering the characteristics of each jurisdiction.
